Ristorante Lucente in Essen

The waiters are particularly nice and very friendly every time. That makes us very happy with every visit. The location is very easy to reach! The convenient transport connections make a visit possible in no time at all, and the food wasn't the only thing that amazed us at this inn! I really like trying out new places and I'm always looking for new places to eat, but I will remain loyal to this place and I think the prices are completely fair.

Fine food, also for vegetarians. The staff is courteous and the atmosphere invites you to relax. Always happy.

Very tasty Italians, restaurants no pizzerias, not cheap

We had a sea bream and ravioli in sage sauce, with white Cabernet Sauvignon from Veneto. The food and service were excellent, the prices medium high, but perfectly okay. Gladly again.

Everything okay. But the pizza dough is not good. With 4 ordered pizza there were 3 that were black from below and too dark. The dough was too dry. Too bad.

The food was delicious, the service was good, the ambience was okay, but the price / performance ratio is not justified.

The armchairs are extremely comfortable and the distance between the places I find extremely decent. There you do not get the feeling like dine in the can in the evening. The place really has potential to become my next favorite place. Definitely not only the nice restaurant staff was during my visit the total bestseller, but also the good flair. I usually did not want to share the dessert with my friend at all. We have learned it for the future and will order a dessert per person on the next visit.

Lobster tagliatelle was incredible, great atmosphere and the service was outstanding. Looking forward to eating here again.

Food good, service a disaster! Due to the food we were already there more often but have several times considered, due to the unfriendly and arrogant service not to eat there. We have actually met all the waiters and waitresses and unfortunately found, here you just can not feel comfortable! Pity! But if the kitchen as a reason enough, which will come here at his expense.

Very good service, warm atmosphere, friendly owners. Food was really delicious. We had Trüffel pasta and sea sole and both were really fantastic. Thank you.

Poor selection of food. Very overpriced

Very disappointing. "Upscale" are here only the prices for average dishes. Taste good, but far from sophistication, product quality and crafts that justifies the prices. The service was very friendly and the ambience pleasant.

The food is not bad, but in my opinion the value for money is not right. And a glass of 0.1 open white wine for at least € 4.50 is a proud price for my feeling.

Gluten free safe and beautiful fine dining Italian cuisine restaurant. I have eaten here twice with friends. As a coeliac I have felt safe and comfortable to do so thanks to the personal attention of the host and servers to guiding me to the available safe choices and describing how these will be prepared gluten free. This does mean choosing dishes such as meat, fish and vegetables that are naturally gluten free as there are no gluten free substitutes for pizza or pasta dishes. Major highlights have been - ++ Service is superb, friendly, attentive and not intrusive. On my visits the flawless English speaking has also been a huge plus since my friends and I speak no German. ++ Comfortable seating, generously sized tables and relaxing mood lighting ++ The variety of naturally gluten free dishes, including fish dishes and antipasti is more than enough to provide some delicious choices ++ The Creme Brulee is without a doubt the most enjoyable I have ever sampled. Rich, velvety, luxurious and every spoonful to savor slowly ++ A shared antipasti for our table was suggested on our most recent visit and delighted everyone with fresh and varied foods. We would not have thought to ask for this ourselves and it is an example of how the staff at Lucente contribute to a lovely dining experience Points I would like to improve are - # Availability of an English language menu. The excellent hostess can translate flawlessly and Google Translate works well too, but an English language menu would be welcome # Availability of more gluten free dishes. For those desiring pasta it is relatively simple for a restaurant to offer gluten free pasta and this would significantly expand the range of dishes available gluten free. Gluten Free bread is also relatively easy to make available and would enable dishes like bruschetta These points would add the 5th Star :-)
